Update: 8/1/2020

To Our Valued Customers,

First and foremost, we hope everyone is staying healthy and safe during this difficult time. We are looking forward to our chance to reopen and welcome all our customers back, although we still have no update from the governor as to when that will be.  We will continue to keep updates posted on our website as we hear more.  Sadly, we have not been given clear direction in recent updates from the authorities in regard to our timeframe for reopening.

Secondly, we want to thank everyone for being patient with us while we navigate the ever-changing deadlines, guidelines, and restrictions for being able to reopen. It had a huge impact on our normal timing and payout procedure for league prize money and refunds for pre-paid weeks.  Our goal throughout this delay was two-fold; We wanted to be able to bring everyone back together one last time to celebrate the abrupt end to our league season and pay out all the seasons prize money in a normal fashion.  On the other hand, we wanted to maintain the safety of our customers and our employees.  It has become apparent that we will not be allowed to do this any time soon.

In an effort to safely distribute everyone’s money, as well as follow current state and local rules and regulations, our plan is as follows:

We will hand out personalized checks through our Batting Cage service window on the West end of the building.  We will be handing these checks out August 5th through August 9th from 4pm to 7pm each of these days. The facility will remain closed during this time and no one will be allowed to enter the building for any reason. Each league bowler will have a check in their name, bowlers who bowled in multiple leagues will have one check with an itemized breakdown for each league. Each person that comes to collect their checks will need to initial on their respective league check-in sheet similarly to the way you would make a league payment at the front desk. You may only collect checks for yourself or any immediate family member. Any questions or concerns can be directed to Tammy at 503-642-2161 ext. 203. Any checks that are not collected will be securely held until we can reopen to the public. You may also leave your checks to be applied to a future season. If a line forms at the service window we ask that you abide by the social distancing rules while you wait in line.

Again, we greatly appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to navigate these uncharted waters. We are very much looking forward to the day we can welcome everyone back into our facility.  When that time comes, we will continue, as we always have, to do everything we can to maintain a clean and safe establishment. These, along with many new protocols, will ensure Park Lanes remains a safe environment for our customers and our staff members.

Sincerely,

Update: 6/4/2020

To Our Valued Customers,

First and foremost, thank you yet again for your patience as we continue to navigate these difficult times.  We have had to make some quick, tough decision over the last few months, like many businesses around the world, as we all keep the future in mind.  These decisions have made it difficult to reach us at times and we greatly appreciate your understanding. We are confident that these actions along with the continued support from our local community will allow us to come back stronger than ever.

As Washington County enters phase one of the reopening plan, we thought it would be a good opportunity to update all of you on how Park Lanes fits into the county’s three phase plan.  Although there are still a lot of unknowns at this time, we have reason to believe that bowling centers will be included in phase two of the county’s plans. We have yet to know a specific date on when the second phase will begin in Washington County, but we are hopeful that it will be towards the end of this month.  Of course, we will continue to update our website and google business page to reflect the information once its released.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will finalize the league standing sheets, sort out the prize money and organizing all pre-paid league fees to be refunded to our bowlers. Although we do not have a concrete date or plan in place for disbursing these funds in a safe and timely manner, we wanted to inform all of you that it is in the works. We will notify you via phone and/or email once we have a final plan in place. We are also working on a revised Summer League schedule for those of you that are interested in getting back out on the lanes. The schedule will be posted on the website as soon as it becomes final.

Our staff has worked hard over the last few months to get the facility ready for our customers once it is deemed safe to welcome you back. Although we feel we have always done a great job keeping our facility safe and clean, we have implemented some additional policies and procedures to make sure we are doing everything we can to keep our customers and our staff as safe and healthy as possible. A list of these actions will be posted throughout the facility, once we reopen, as well as on our website under the COVID-19 tab.

As always, we look forward to seeing all of you back at Park Lanes. Until then, if you have any questions or concerns, please email joel@parklanes.net or tammy@parklanes.net.  They will do their best to respond as quickly as possible.

Sincerely,

Update: 4/14/2020

To Our Valued Customers,

As we all know by now, change seems to be the only constant during these difficult times. As these changes are issued by our governing bodies, we will do our best to keep you informed on how our business is impacted. The health and safety of our customers, staff, and our community continues to be our top priority. As some of you know, the initial plan requiring us to be closed for four weeks was extended indefinitely by Governor Brown last week.

We know a lot of you may have questions about our plans moving forward regarding our leagues. The uncertainty of when we are going to be able to reopen our doors makes it difficult to have a concrete plan in place at this time. However, there are several options that we will explore once there is a more stable timetable in place. Although we have yet to make decisions on specifics, we wanted to make it clear that we will NOT be charging our bowlers for weeks that weren’t bowled due to the closure. Once a concrete decision is made regarding the future of the current leagues, we will credit our bowlers any remaining balance via refund or apply the credit to a future league (Summer 2020 or Fall/Winter 2020-21).

Although this extension requires us to remain closed for all customer related activities, we still have limited staff working on projects throughout the facility.  Other staff members will be working remotely for the remainder of the COVID-19 related closure, managing the needs of our customers via email. As always, we are here for you during these unprecedented times. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Joel Johnson at joel@parklanes.net or Tammy Jurgens at tammy@parklanes.net. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner.

We remain hopeful that the actions taken by the state and local government will allow an expedited return to normalcy in the near future, and we look forward to being able to welcome you back into our facility once it is deemed safe to do so.

Sincerely,

Update: 3/17/2020

To Our Valued Customers,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their loyalty and continued support during this most challenging time. We very much appreciate each one of our customers.

The health and safety of our customers, staff, and our community are of the utmost importance. As most of you may have heard by now, the governor of Oregon has implemented restrictions that directly affect businesses such as ours. With these two things in mind, it is with a heavy heart that we press pause on all our leagues and other customer related activities, effective immediately (3/17/2020).  The initial plan requires us to be closed for four weeks.  We are hopeful that the actions taken by the state and local government will allow an expedited return to normalcy, and we look forward to being able to welcome you back into our facility once it becomes safe to do so.

Although we will remain closed for all customer related activities during this time, we will have limited staff working on projects throughout the facility and managing the needs of our customers via phone and email. As always, we are here for you during these unprecedented times. Please keep in mind that the hours our staff will be available via phone and email may differ from our normal hours of operations.  With that being said, I am confident we will still be able to handle the needs of our customers in a timely manner.

Sincerely,
