Front Desk Attendant

The desk attendant ensures guests have a positive and memorable experience in the bowling center by providing friendly, prompt and courteous service.  To ensure maximum utilization of lanes and equipment is realized through efficient control of the flow of customers.

Responsibilities

  • Attends work regularly and exhibits positive attitude at all times.
  • Opens and closes the center a directed, following the required procedures, including counting cash drawers at opening and closing shifts.
  • Provides friendly, courteous, polite and helpful customer service.
  • Greets and informs customers of center services, bowling promotions, current prices and specials.
  • Keeps track of open play lanes (activity and inactivity) and assigns them to customers.
  • Rents shoes and sanitizes and inspects them upon return.
  • Operates cash register, computer, sound system and PA (makes announcements).
  • Answers phones and directs calls.
  • Handles complaints, using judgment as to which ones to refer to management.
  • Keeps alert for rowdy customers who may be disturbing others.
  • Communicates with mechanic promptly with respect to machine stoppages, pin spots, ball returns, etc.
  • Solicits new bowlers.
  • Directs work of porter to ensure that clean conditions are maintained throughout the premises at all times.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and provides a safe environment for customers.
  • Administration of league play, including collecting league fees, recaps and balancing league deposits.
  • Proper handling of money according to company procedures.
  • Assist customers with automatic scorers, bumpers and other inquiries.
  • Sell center services through suggesting upcoming specials and events.
  • Reports emergencies to proper authorities.
  • Performs tasks as requested by management.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year customer service experience preferred.

Bartender

The bartender is responsible for selling and serving food and alcoholic beverage services to bowling center and lounge guests that are of legal drinking age.  Making sure the guest is receiving quality food and beverage products as well as receiving prompt and courteous service in a clean and friendly environment as well as ensuring compliance with legal requirements.  Responsible for using point of sale computer, collecting payment and making accurate change.

  • Sell and deliver food to guests at the bar and any assigned tables.
  • Buss tables as needed.
  • Wash glassware and equipment as needed according to health department guidelines.

  • Slow down or cut off service to customers to keep them from getting intoxicated.
  • Communicate with management if customers get unruly.
  • Maintain security of all bar equipment and supplies.
  • Restock and rotate all liquor, beer, wine and bar supplies when needed, including ice and beer kegs. Report low stock issues.
  • Mop floors at close of shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Previous bartending experience preferred.

  • Must have current alcohol server permit and food handlers certificate.

Porter/Busser

The porter/busser maintains the highest possible cleaning standards by following regular cleaning guidelines.  Performs duties assigned by the desk attendant in a prompt manner while providing polite and helpful customer service.

  • Assist customers with automatic scoring devices.work safely and provide a safe bowling environment for customers.
  • Dust approaches before league.
  • Places league recap forms and pencils on tables.
  • Retrieve balls and pins from lane.
  • Help with birthday parties and setting up meeting rooms.
  • Monitor parking lot and play area. Report activities that may need attention from the desk attendant or management.
  • Remove garbage from building and replace liners as needed.
  • Recycle empty boxes as needed.
  • Performs any task requested by management.

Cook (Prep, Fry & Line)

The cook is responsible for cooking food according to health department rules and company specification while maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times. Making sure the guest is receiving quality food as well as receiving prompt service at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Wear and maintain clean uniform.
  • Provides fast, friendly, courteous, polite and helpful customer service.
  • Safely use kitchen equipment such as grill, fryer, stove, oven, microwave, knives, slicer, blenders, choppers, etc.
  • Follow all food handling procedures including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperatures of products.
  • Follow all food prep guidelines according to health department and company rules.
  • Prepare food items correctly and consistently according to company methods and portion control.
  • Ensure proper rotation and avoid waste of food items.
  • Maintain clean, sanitized counters, work surfaces and equipment in accordance with health department regulations at all times.

Pinchaser

The pinchaser is responsible for keeping pinsetter and other mechanical equipment in the bowling center, including food & beverage equipment, clean and well maintained and operating at the highest level of efficiency at all times.  Assist mechanic with building maintenance and repairs, including keeping interior and exterior of building well maintained at all times.  Abide by all safety procedures.  Ensure that the customers have an enjoyable experience through swift and efficient service.

 

Responsibilities

  • Respond to pinsetter trouble calls in a timely manner.
  • Help maintain and repair pinsetter machines, scoring computers and lane machine and make sure they are clean and operational at all times, this includes preventative maintenance.
  • Help maintain all bowling equipment in the bowling center including food and beverage equipment, including preventative maintenance.
  • Help perform all building maintenance, interior and exterior.
  • Condition lanes daily (strip & oil) according to required patterns.
  • Communicate with mechanic and bowling center employees.
  • Maintain shop in a well organized manner.
  • Maintain security of all tools and equipment.
  • May be required to perform a combination of supportive functions for the bowling center.

Office Staff

The office staff is responsible for answering phones in a pleasant manner, booking birthday and other group event reservations.  Developing, managing and improving league business.  Maintaining customer database.  Creating and distributing flyers and promotional material.  Sales and community relations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Attends work regularly and exhibits positive attitude at all times.
  • Provides friendly, courteous, polite and helpful customer service in the center and on the phone.
  • Maintain Customer database, compile and organize customer leads.
  • Greets and informs customers of center services, bowling promotions, current prices and specials.
  • Solicits new bowlers.
  • Develop and maintain league business through effective relationships with league bowlers.
  • Sell center services through suggesting upcoming specials and events.
  • Capitalize business opportunities in the market area by executing strategies to drive sales in league, open play, and other activities.
  • Sales and community relations. Effectively market the location to the community using local, regional and national promotional services.  This may include participating in local groups to develop excellent community relations to increase customer traffic to the center.
  • Maintain inventory of all flyers and promotional materials and supplies.
  • Plan, book and confirm all events including birthday parties and group events.
  • Assist with collecting and processing payments and deposits of group events.
  • Maintain lane and party reservation reports.
  • Work with Desk attendants to ensure successful events.
  • Performs tasks as requested by management.

Mechanic

The Mechanic is responsible for ensuring that the automatic pinsetters and other mechanical equipment in the bowling center, including food & beverage equipment, are maintained and operate at the highest level of efficiency

at all times.  Responsible for building maintenance and repairs, including keeping interior and exterior of building well maintained at all times.  Managing, scheduling and training of the pinsetter and technician staff.  Abide by and enforce safety procedures.  Ensure that the customers have an enjoyable experience through swift and efficient service.

 

Responsibilities

  • Respond to pinsetter trouble calls in a timely manner.
  • Maintain Brunswick pinsetter machines, automatic scoring computers and lane oil machine and make sure thy are clean and operational at all times, this includes preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain and repair all machinery in the facility, including food & beverage and vending equipment, this includes preventative maintenance.
  • Schedule, plan and organize work for pinsetter and technician staff.  Drive team productivity among pinsetters and technician staff, identify opportunities for improvement and resolve issues.
  • Perform all building maintenance, interior and exterior, including plumbing and electrical.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well groomed appearance of facility.
  • Monitor compliance with safety guidelines, build awareness of safety.  Ensure a safe environment for employees and guests.  Report concerns to management.
  • Oversee conditioning of the lanes daily (strip & oil) according to required patterns.
  • Communicate with management, employees and headquarters on issues and plans for repairs.  Work with proprietor to control expenses.
  • Maintain shop in a well organized manner at all times.
